Friday Music Band

...Nascono a Marsala il 26 settembre 2008 da un’idea di Giovanni Sutera e Peppe Sciacca completandosi poi con l’aggiunta di tre splendidi musicisti: Peppe Di Girolamo, Vincenzo Pulizzi e Nino Sciacca.

Il gruppo principalmente riprende alcuni dei più famosi brani del passato emulando artisti del calibro di Lucio Battisti, Ligabue, Nomadi, Queen ecc…

La parte musicale e strumentale è curata da tutti e cinque i componenti del gruppo cercando di amalgamare i vari generi musicali, alla batteria abbiamo Giovanni Sutera, di 27 anni che cura la parte ritmica insieme al mitico Peppe Sciacca al basso tastiera (chiamato anche “Peppe blues” dai componenti del gruppo per la sua passione sfrenata per il blues), di 27 anni. La parte vocale è curata da Vincenzo Pulizzi e Peppe Di Girolamo (chiamato Peppe guitar per il suono inconfondibile della sua chitarra mancina).

Vincenzo oltre alla voce riempie la parte musicale suonando la tastiera, Peppe si occupa della parte solista della chitarra.

Per ultimo ma non meno importante direi l’anima del gruppo per la pazienza di montare e smontare tutti i cavi dei vari strumenti e soprattutto per il suo tocco di chitarra Nino Sciacca, fratello di Peppe blues.

Il nome Friday (venerdì) nasce da un idea ispirata al chitarrista del gruppo stesso Peppe guitar, che essendo uno studente universitario, viene ogni fine settima da Palermo per le prove e l’unico giorno disponibile per lui è il venerdì e quindi provando solo in quel giorno l’idea di chiamare il gruppo Friday.

I Friday hanno partecipato ad alcune delle più famose manifestazioni locali della città di Marsala tra cui: feste di contrada e al Meeting dei Cori Parrocchiali "LA VERA GIOIA E’… CANTARE” al santuario del Santo Padre delle Perriere.

Questi siamo noi Friday Music Band che nasce prima di tutto per la passione sfrenata per la musica, e la voglia di suonare assieme.
